Garden State Chapter 517 was founded in Holmdel, New Jersey, with a commitment to Hellenism, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family, and individual excellence. The chapter has grown that mission through brotherhood events, scholarships, charitable giving, and support for local and AHEPA causes.

Garden State Chapter 517 begins its service to the Holmdel-area Hellenic community.

The chapter establishes the scholarship program that would grow into the Greg Ploussas Scholarship Award.
