What is AHEPA?
The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA), commonly known as the Order of AHEPA, is a fraternal organization founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1922.
AHEPA was established to promote civil rights and help Greek Americans respond to discrimination and bigotry. Today, it is the largest and oldest grassroots association of Americans of Greek heritage and Philhellenes, with chapters throughout the United States and internationally.
AHEPA’s mission is to promote the Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family, and individual excellence through community service, volunteerism, fellowship, and cultural engagement.
